There are certain concepts that just seem to stand the test of time — no matter how wrong they are. Some of these myths were taught to us as children, and we never learned otherwise. This myth is more of an illusion than anything else. Because shaved hair has a dark tip, and the shaved spot will eventually grow stubble, the hair in that spot is more noticeable. It's not actually thicker or darker, though - you're just paying more attention to it.
